The year 2024 witnessed many important achievements of the national inspection sector in the context of a complex socio-economic situation with intertwined challenges. With more than 6,600 administrative inspections and nearly 119,000 specialized inspections and examinations conducted, the sector detected economic violations of more than VND 157 trillion and 245 hectares of land.
Of these, the authorities have proposed to recover more than VND85.4 trillion and 41 hectares of land, and to exclude and exclude from the settlement value more than VND72 trillion.
The fight against corruption continues to be vigorously implemented, with 61 cases and 107 individuals found to have signs of violations. The Government Inspectorate focuses on guiding the implementation of preventive measures, enhancing publicity, transparency and controlling assets and income.
During the period, nearly 278,000 officials declared their assets and income; 6,775 people were verified, and 10 cases were disciplined for dishonest declaration.
The work of receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations has improved significantly. During the year, administrative agencies received more than 337 thousand people, down 7% compared to the previous year. The rate of resolving complaints reached 84.2%, and the rate of resolving denunciations reached 88.5%. Complicated and long-standing cases were also focused on for review, with more than 1,000 cases thoroughly resolved.
In 2025, the Government Inspectorate will continue to focus on key tasks. In particular, the whole sector will promote publicity and transparency in inspection work and strengthen post-inspection supervision. Improve the effectiveness of corruption prevention, focusing on high-risk areas such as land management, construction investment, finance and banking.
The inspection sector will focus on resolving complaints and denunciations right at the grassroots level to minimize prolonged disputes; upgrade the national database on complaints and denunciations to improve handling efficiency; promote institutional building, administrative reform and application of information technology in management and operation.
2025 is identified as a pivotal year to complete the goals of the 5-year plan 2021 - 2025. With a sense of responsibility and determination to innovate, the Government Inspectorate is committed to improving operational efficiency, enhancing transparency and publicity in operations, best serving the interests of the people and the sustainable development of the country.
