(Fatherland) - On the morning of March 6, at the Hanoi Opera House, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the 10th People's Artist and Meritorious Artist Award Ceremony.
On the morning of March 6, at the Hanoi Opera House, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) in coordination with relevant agencies solemnly held the 10th People's Artist (NSND) and Meritorious Artist (NSUT) title awarding ceremony.
Speaking at the conclusion of the process of awarding the title, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of the State Council, said that the work of awarding the title of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist for the 10th time received great attention and close direction from the President and Prime Minister.
Speaking at the award ceremony, President Vo Van Thuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the creative working spirit of generations of artists and affirmed that the Party, State and People have had many forms of praising and honoring artists.
The President emphasized: "People's Artist and Meritorious Artist are honorable and noble titles that the Party and State bestow on individuals who have made many contributions and have been long-term attached to the fields of culture and art, have intelligence and dignity, wholeheartedly, wholeheartedly, and devotedly serve the people, and contribute to the revolutionary cause. They are artistic talents, with excellent works of high ideological and artistic value that are well received, loved, and admired by the public."
At the ceremony, President Vo Van Thuong awarded 125 People's Artist titles.
The President signed the Decision to award and posthumously award the title of People's Artist to 125 artists and award and posthumously award the title of Meritorious Artist to 264 artists.
Many familiar faces to television audiences have received this noble title. In the photo, the President presents the title of People's Artist to artist Quoc Khanh - known to everyone for his role as "Ngoc Hoang" in the Tao Quan program on New Year's Eve every year on Vietnam Television.
Artist Xuan Bac received the title of People's Artist.

Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia presented the title of Meritorious Artist to the artists.
