Court summons Dam Vinh Hung and Thuy Tien to Nguyen Phuong Hang's trial

As scheduled, on September 21, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court will open a trial for defendant Nguyen Phuong Hang (52 years old, General Director of Dai Nam Joint Stock Company) and four accomplices on charges of Abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State and the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals.

The court summoned Mr. Vo Nguyen Hoai Linh (artist Hoai Linh), Ms. Nguyen Thi My Oanh (singer Vy Oanh), Ms. Dang Thi Han Ni (former journalist Han Ni), Mr. Huynh Minh Hung (singer Dam Vinh Hung), Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Tien (singer Thuy Tien) and her husband, former football player Le Cong Vinh, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien (Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper), Ms. Dinh Thi Lan, Ms. Le Thi Giau, Ms. Truong Viet Ha, Mr. Huynh Uy Dung (Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam Joint Stock Company - Ms. Hang's husband), Mr. Nguyen Dinh Kim to attend the trial as people with rights and obligations related to the case.

According to the investigation conclusion of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department, Nguyen Phuong Hang used 7 YouTube and Facebook social network accounts including: Facebook accounts "Ha Lee", "Nguyen Phuong Hang"; 5 YouTube accounts "Truong Dua Dai Nam", "Chistiana Nguyen", "LONG VLOG", "Tin Nong Nhat 24h", "Luat su Vlog".

Since June 2021, through the above social media accounts, Ms. Hang has organized many live-streaming sessions to talk about many different topics and contents, which have been followed, shared, and commented on by many people.

During the live broadcasts, Ms. Hang made statements (many containing obscene words) that affected the reputation and honor of many individuals, so these individuals filed complaints against Nguyen Phuong Hang. The videos Ms. Hang posted online had nearly 1 million views and tens of thousands of likes and comments.

After Ms. Hang continuously made incorrect statements, Ms. Dinh Thi Lan, Mr. Huynh Minh Hung (singer Dam Vinh Hung), Ms. Dang Thi Han Ni (journalist Han Ni), Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien (journalist Duc Hien), Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Tien (singer Thuy Tien) and her husband Le Cong Vinh (football player Cong Vinh) simultaneously denounced the owner of Dai Nam tourist area.

At the investigation agency, the owner of Dai Nam tourist area stated that singer Dam Vinh Hung, singer Thuy Tien and other victims had made some incorrect statements about her and her husband, so she used words to insult these people.

The investigation agency affirmed that Nguyen Phuong Hang's behavior is dangerous to society, infringing on human rights, rights, and legitimate interests of others. Ms. Hang is a person with full capacity and criminal responsibility, committed a crime with intentional fault, negatively affecting social security and order, infringing on administrative management order, and needs to be strictly handled.
