Reorganize Phuoc Diem Border Post into Ca Na Port Border Post

At the ceremony, the leaders of the Provincial Border Guard Command announced Decision No. 2785/QD-BQP dated July 29, 2024 of the Minister of National Defense on reorganizing Phuoc Diem Border Post into Ca Na Port Border Post; Decision No. 1919/QD-TM dated July 1, 2024 of the Chief of the General Staff on promulgating the organization and staffing chart of Ca Na Port Border Post and the Decisions of the Border Guard Command and the Provincial Border Guard Command on perfecting the Party organization, transferring cadres, and appointing positions for Ca Na Port Border Post.

Accordingly, the Border Guard Station of Ca Na Port is a specialized force responsible for monitoring the border guards at ports, wharves, and port water areas; registering the activities of subjects entering, exiting, and operating in the Ca Na Port border gate area according to the provisions of law. The unit is responsible for presiding over and coordinating with specialized state management agencies at the Ca Na Port border gate and local authorities and port enterprises to manage and maintain security, social order and safety in the border gate area according to the provisions of law, instructions from superiors, and coordination regulations with forces; performing tasks assigned by superiors related to border foreign affairs.

Preside over and coordinate with relevant forces to manage and protect security and order in assigned areas. Preside over and coordinate the implementation of professional measures for border gate work, supervision, registration, and inspection of people and vehicles entering, leaving, and operating at border gates; maintain activities in port areas, wharves, port waters, and vehicles at Ca Na port. Perform border inspection and supervision tasks; carry out entry, exit, transit, and port transfer procedures for Vietnamese and foreign ships arriving and departing from ports; promptly detect, handle, or coordinate the handling of cases related to border gate work, handle administrative violations according to authority...

Speaking at the ceremony, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized: The reorganization of Phuoc Diem Border Post into Ca Na Port Border Post meets the requirements of practical tasks when Ca Na International Seaport comes into operation to perform the task of inspecting, supervising border and maintaining security, order and social safety in border areas and border gates according to the provisions of law.

Therefore, to ensure that the Border Guard force fully performs its functions, tasks and powers at the port border gate as prescribed, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial Border Guard Command to direct the strict implementation of the Decisions of the Ministry of National Defense on reorganizing Phuoc Diem Border Guard Station into Ca Na Port Border Guard Station; promptly perform all functions, tasks and powers of the Border Guard in the port border gate area as prescribed by law, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality. Urgently organize and arrange forces and means, deploy border work measures, ensuring that the Ca Na Port Border Guard Station quickly performs its assigned tasks. He assigned the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities to urgently find solutions to arrange land for the construction of the Ca Na Port Border Guard Station as soon as possible.

Regarding the Border Guard Station at Ca Na port, he requested that after the reorganization, all aspects must be quickly stabilized; officers and soldiers must uphold the spirit of solidarity, revolutionary vigilance, have good moral qualities, be good at expertise and profession, and have a firm grasp of Vietnamese law and international practices; ensure the performance of tasks in accordance with regulations, both effectively combating all types of crimes that take advantage of the border gate area and ensuring good foreign affairs and participating in local socio-economic development. At the same time, do a good job of propaganda for businesses and people to strictly comply with regulations on management, security and order protection at the port border gate. He also requested the Party Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command to pay attention to leading and directing the development of forces, especially forces at the port border gate, to ensure that the unit performs its tasks closely and effectively, meeting the requirements of the assigned tasks.
