Organizing the 2023 National High School Sports Tournament for Middle School Basketball

From December 2 to 10, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training coordinated with the Vietnam Basketball Federation to organize the 2023 National High School Sports Tournament for Secondary School Basketball.

The 2023 National High School Basketball Sports Tournament is organized to promote the movement of "all people exercising following the example of great Uncle Ho", regularly practicing and competing in sports to improve health, contributing to comprehensive education for students. Through that, the quality of physical education and school sports activities in educational institutions is assessed; enhancing exchanges, sharing and learning experiences between staff, teachers and student athletes. The tournament also contributes to spreading the physical training movement, creating a healthy and positive lifestyle for students.

This year's National Secondary School Basketball Tournament had the participation of 196 student athletes, 86 union officials, coaches and more than 200 parents, taking place at the Sports Hall of the Experimental Education Primary, Secondary and High Schools.

21 teams from universities participated in the 15th National "Student Singing Contest" in the Northern region.

The Ministry of Education and Training, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, also held the opening ceremony of the 15th National "Student Singing Contest" in 2023 in the Northern region on the evening of December 1, at the University of Water Resources.

The “Student Singing Contest” is the largest traditional cultural and artistic activity of students nationwide. This is one of many educational activities, contributing to the implementation of the comprehensive education goal in the spirit of Resolution No. 29 on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training.

This year’s competition is divided into two rounds: regional round and final round. The regional round is held in the North and South with a total of 39 teams and 113 entries.

The national "Student Singing Contest" was first held in 1991. Up to now, after 14 times of organization, the contest has been affirmed as an artistic playground, creating opportunities for students to exchange experiences, enhance mutual understanding, contribute to orienting musical tastes, discovering artistic talents, and improving the quality of comprehensive education for students.
