At the meeting, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee informed the former Standing Members of the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee about the situation and results of the implementation of the tasks of the Provincial Party Committee in 2023, the progress of implementing key projects to promote the economic development of the province and the work of taking care of the Lunar New Year 2024 for the people. Accordingly, by the end of 2023, our province had 16/19 targets on economy, society, environment, national defense - security and Party building achieved and exceeded the plan. The province's economy remained stable and had good growth, the GRDP growth rate increased by 9.4%, ranking 9th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide and 2nd out of 14 provinces in the North Central and Central Coast regions. The economic structure has shifted towards increasing the proportion of industry and services; effectively exploiting potential strengths, especially in the fields of marine economy and renewable energy. Many large-scale projects have been invested, completed and put into operation. Culture and society have many progressive changes; social security is concerned, people's lives are improved. Natural disaster prevention and climate change adaptation are strengthened. Political security and social order and safety are maintained. The work of building a clean and strong Party and political system is focused on with a spirit of innovation, proactiveness, closeness, determination, comprehensiveness and has many positive changes in all areas, especially strengthening inspection and supervision; especially focusing on sensitive areas, prone to violations; proactively preventing and stopping shortcomings. Regarding the work of taking care of the people during Tet, the Provincial Party Committee has directed the good implementation of social security and welfare policies, taking care of the material and spiritual life of the people during Tet, especially for families with meritorious services, policy beneficiaries, workers, unemployed people, people in difficult circumstances, poor households, people in localities affected by natural disasters, epidemics, mountainous areas, ethnic minority areas... ensuring that every family and every person can enjoy spring and celebrate Tet. In addition to gifts from the President (6,255 gifts/1.883 billion VND), gifts from the province (about 12.2 billion VND), the province also called on and mobilized organizations and individuals (through the channel of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee) to receive 28,068 gifts, worth 9.337 billion VND to give to policy families, poor and near-poor households and social protection beneficiaries. Directing the Provincial People's Committee to request the Prime Minister to support rice for poor households, near-poor households, and those being cared for at social protection facilities, the quantity: 982,050 kg (16,669 households/65,470 people). In general, the work of taking care of Tet has been implemented thoughtfully and promptly, the Party Committee, government, and organizations at all levels are determined to achieve the goal of organizing the Lunar New Year 2024 in a joyful, safe, healthy, economical, and effective spirit.
After listening to the report and monitoring the development of the province, the former Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee of different periods expressed their joy and excitement at the comprehensive and remarkable progress of the province in the past year and the correct development orientations in the coming time; at the same time, they highly appreciated the efforts of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee in leading, directing and implementing the tasks of socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security.
