On the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the New Year of the Dragon 2024, on the afternoon of January 26, the Standing Committee of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee held a meeting with retired leaders and managers in the province.

Comrades: Hoang Trung Dung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran The Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Vo Trong Hai - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

Attending the meeting were comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh - Chairman of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly; former leaders of the Central Committee, provincial leaders of different periods, members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the People's Council, leaders of the People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

At the meeting, delegates watched a report on the province's socio-economic development situation in 2023.

In 2023, with the efforts of the entire Party, government, and people, the province achieved and exceeded 26/28 targets. The economic growth rate reached 8.05%, ranking 15th in the country. The implementation of key industrial projects showed many positive signs; agricultural production had a good harvest; total budget revenue in the area reached 17,946 billion VND, equal to 102.6% of the central government's estimate; total social investment capital was estimated at 51,124 billion VND, reaching 113.6% of the plan.

Former Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association Phan Van Quy expressed his joy at the results the province has achieved in recent times.

The cultural sector achieved many positive results. Many social security activities were implemented, creating a wide spread. National defense and security were ensured. Party building and the political system were strengthened.

In a friendly atmosphere, retired leaders and managers in the area expressed their joy at the results achieved by the province in recent times, and shared their experiences in working, leading, directing and suggesting many solutions to promote economic and social development in the coming years.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Trung Dung thanked the important contributions of retired leaders and managers in the area to the overall development of the province. At the same time, he provided more information about the outstanding results in Party building, political system and socio-economic development of Ha Tinh since the beginning of the 19th Provincial Party Congress term up to now and the development orientation in the coming time.
