Closing Ceremony of Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival
On April 13, the Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival (HIFF) 2024 - the city's first international festival in 2024 - will conclude after 8 exciting days of organization (from April 6).
The film festival will conclude with a red carpet and closing ceremony at Lam Son Square and Ho Chi Minh City Theater on the evening of April 13.
The closing ceremony had the theme Time Travel, directed by People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City - and directed by Tran Vi My.
The closing ceremony will begin with the song Song of the Southern Land performed by People's Artist Trong Phuc and the zither playing by Meritorious Artist Hai Phuong. This song represents the spirit of the people of the South.
After the important performances and awards ceremony, the closing night will be followed by the screening of the film Perfect Days (Germany).
Closing film screenings are a familiar activity of major international film festivals.

The play honors the Governor appointed by King Tu Duc as Gia Dinh Citadel Guardian, then as Dinh - Bien Governor, governing Gia Dinh and Bien Hoa in the early days when France opened fire to attack Gia Dinh.

Beauty And The Beast Movie Music Night
On Saturday evening, April 13 and Sunday afternoon, April 14, two Beauty And The Beast soundtrack performances in concert by the Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra (SPO) and 54 Entertainment will take place at the Hoa Binh Theater, Ho Chi Minh City.
The concert will feature familiar film scores composed by eight-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken. The music will be performed live alongside the film, creating a cinematic experience combined with orchestral music.
The music and images in the show are copyrighted by Disney, the company that produced the classic animated film Beauty And The Beast .
The event also featured guest performances by conductor Thanapol Setabrahmana and the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra.
