Searching and gathering the remains of 12 martyrs in Laos

Carrying out the task of searching and collecting martyrs' remains in Laos, dry season 2023 - 2024, Collection Team 584, Quang Tri Provincial Military Command deployed search and collection in 7 districts of Savannakhet province.

Under the direction of the 515 Steering Committee of Military Region 4 and the province, and in close coordination with the Party Committee, authorities and people of Lao ethnic groups, during the implementation of the mission, Team 584 actively surveyed and gathered information in more than 300 villages and collected 39 pieces of information related to martyrs' graves, and at the same time organized forces to conduct searches and gatherings in the areas.

As of April 9, 2024, Collection Team 584 has searched for and collected the remains of 12 martyrs who were Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in 5 districts of Savannakhet province, reaching 80% of the target and plan determined in the 2023-2024 dry season.

Recently, within the framework of a working trip to Laos, a delegation from the Military Region 4 Command led by Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh, Commander of the Military Region, visited and inspected the 584 Collection Team, which is carrying out the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains in Atsaphon district, Savannakhet province.

After listening to the report and directly inspecting, Commander of Military Region 4, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the results achieved by Team 584 in the past time. In the complicated weather conditions, difficult search areas, and increasingly limited information about martyrs' graves, the entire team's officers and employees proactively overcame difficulties, promoted solidarity and determination, searched for and recovered the martyrs' remains to ensure the set plan.

In the coming time, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh requested the officers and staff of Collection Team 584 to continue to make efforts and strive in the search and collection work; strengthen close coordination with the Special Working Group of your Party Committee, local authorities and people in surveying, exploiting and grasping information about martyrs' graves; and focus on the stages and steps in the information processing process.

Organize the search, gather closely and seriously, conclude and hand over specific areas after completing the search mission in the deployed area; do a good job in foreign affairs; focus on building internal solidarity, strictly follow unit discipline; discipline the people, ensure the good completion of tasks, and safety in all aspects.
