Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man emphasized: Over nearly 80 years of formation and development, the Vietnamese National Assembly has made great contributions to the cause of national liberation, construction and protection, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's position and prestige in the international arena, increasingly affirming its role as the highest representative body of the people, the highest state power body - the embodiment of the great national unity bloc.

Regardless of the period or circumstances, the National Assembly always speaks the heartfelt and responsible voice of the people, representing the will, aspirations and legitimate interests of the people, promoting the intelligence of the entire nation to build and develop the country.

Emulation and reward work is of special importance, contributing to creating motivation to promote revolutionary activities. Right from the early years, President Ho Chi Minh called for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948), and up to now, the emulation movement has been widely deployed throughout the country. Through emulation movements, there have appeared more and more examples of good people, good deeds, and advanced models in all fields and regions of the country.

Implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Law on Emulation and Commendation (2022), Resolution 44 (February 5, 2024) of the National Assembly Standing Committee on emulation and commendation to raise awareness and responsibility of the National Assembly agencies, agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, National Assembly delegations, National Assembly deputies and local departments, ministries, branches and people in building a democratic, rule-of-law, scientific, professional, effective and efficient National Assembly.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also requested the agencies of the National Assembly, agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly Office, the National Assembly delegation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, etc. to concretize the emulation movement for authenticity; carry out propaganda work well; promptly reward and encourage outstanding individuals as well as strictly handle violations according to the provisions of law.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha expressed her high agreement with the National Assembly Standing Committee's launching of the emulation movement to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly.

This is an opportunity to review the historical event of the first General Election Day, a national festival, a great step forward in the process of building a socialist democratic regime; at the same time, it is considered an opportunity to arouse the great strength of the great national unity bloc, determined to compete to complete the goals in the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, the Resolutions of the National Assembly, contributing to building and defending the Fatherland.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha said: Responding to the emulation movement launched by the National Assembly Standing Committee, in the coming time, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will deploy it on the system of Fronts at all levels and member organizations, determined to well implement the key contents.

Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Social Committee Nguyen Thuy Anh stated that, with the spirit of 2024, 2025 and towards the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly, the Social Committee, together with the agencies of the National Assembly and the agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, will proactively develop a plan to implement the emulation movement, constantly innovate, be dynamic, creative, dare to think, dare to do to deploy and be determined to well implement the tasks and key contents set out.

In legislative work, the Chairman of the Social Committee emphasized that it is necessary to continue to actively implement the spirit of "proactive legislation", closely following Conclusion No. 19-KL/TW on the orientation of the law-making program for the 15th National Assembly term; effectively implementing laws and resolutions of the National Assembly.

In the supervision work, effectively implement Conclusion No. 843-KL/DĐQH15 dated August 3, 2022 of the Party Delegation of the National Assembly on continuing to innovate, improve the quality and effectiveness of the National Assembly's supervision and resolutions related to supervision work; demonstrate flexibility and sensitivity in supervision work on major, emerging issues in the country's socio-economic life that are of interest to voters, people, and National Assembly deputies.
