Continue to accompany and create all favorable conditions for THACO to implement investment projects in Chu Lai

According to THACO's leadership representative, 2024 is the second year the company continues to implement its multi-industry strategy and 5-year plan (2023 - 2027). The group enters a new investment and development cycle, forming a new generation of THACO's multi-industry industrial ecosystem in Chu Lai.

THACO's member corporations and general companies will continue to expand investment, production and business. The goal is to complete the governance model of a large-scale multi-industry corporation by 2027, with a complete governance platform and successful application of digital transformation.

Chu Lai area will include centers: Automobile manufacturing and assembly, mechanical engineering & supporting industry; transportation; agricultural and forestry processing; trade and services and urban areas with full social infrastructure, making a large and significant contribution to the development of Quang Nam and the Central region.

In 2024, THACO's total budget contribution is expected to be nearly VND24,500 billion. THACO's total investment capital in Chu Lai will be disbursed in 2024 at nearly VND3,900 billion. Total budget contribution in Quang Nam will be about VND20,000 billion, an increase of 16% compared to 2023.

To implement this strategy, THACO relies on the development of investment projects in Chu Lai. However, in the 8 projects that this enterprise is implementing in Chu Lai (including: Chu Lai port expansion and upgrade project in Tam Hiep port area; 11.09ha automobile and spare parts delivery and transportation center project;

Ky Ha port channel dredging project phase 2; Tam Hoa port duty-free zone project, Cua Lo channel; Existing auto mechanical industrial park project - 243ha; Expanded auto mechanical industrial park project - 115ha;

THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park Project - 451 ha; Chu Lai Urban Area Project Phase 1 with 195 ha) is facing many difficulties. From site clearance, compensation, land price determination, legal procedures... are not easy to implement.

Mr. Tran Ba Duong - Chairman of THACO Board of Directors said that he will work with Quang Nam to research and propose mechanisms and policies for THACO to invest in dredging Ky Ha channel, investing in Cua Lo channel, exploiting and organizing operations...

THACO will study investment in Chu Lai urban area, so that after the Provincial People's Committee approves the 1/2000 zoning plan, it will participate in bidding to select investors in 2024...

THACO proposed that the Quang Nam provincial government direct sectors and units to support businesses in completing legal procedures on compensation, site clearance, investment, land prices... in 2024.

After listening to the report of the enterprise and the opinions of the relevant departments and branches, Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that Quang Nam is committed to continuing to accompany and create all favorable conditions for THACO to invest, develop and expand production and business in the next stages. Quang Nam will find every way to work with enterprises to remove difficulties for 8 investment projects in Chu Lai.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and localities to clearly define the tasks and specific plans in the compensation and site clearance progress for each project.

The Provincial People's Committee proactively works with central ministries and branches to promptly resolve difficulties of investment projects in 2024.

At the same time, it is recommended that the Provincial People's Council study and add to the agenda, and that it is necessary to open a thematic session to decide on matters within its authority, and promptly handle and resolve projects...
