Continuing resources, creating the future, bringing Petrovietnam to new heights

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, presented the decision to appoint Mr. Le Ngoc Son as a member of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam.

On March 20, Petrovietnam held a ceremony to announce and award decisions to Mr. Le Ngoc Son as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, and General Director of the Group.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises; Mr. Nguyen Long Hai, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc; representatives of ministries, departments, central branches, the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, and the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc.

Mr. Le Manh Hung, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors, presented the decision to appoint General Director to Mr. Le Ngoc Son.

On Petrovietnam's side, there were Mr. Le Manh Hung, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group; along with members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, members of the Board of Directors, Deputy General Directors, leaders of specialized departments/Group Offices, leaders of political and social organizations, leaders of member units, branches, and project management boards under the Group.

At the ceremony, representatives of the Department of Personnel Organization of the Capital Management Committee, the Organization Board of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, and the Human Resources Management Board of Petrovietnam announced the decisions: appointing members of the Board of Directors, appointing the General Director and approving Mr. Le Ngoc Son to join the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, term 2020 - 2025.

Mr. Le Manh Hung, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam, spoke at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee Nguyen Hoang Anh congratulated Petrovietnam on completing key leadership personnel and congratulated Mr. Le Ngoc Son on being entrusted with a new task.

Affirming that this is an honor but also a very heavy responsibility, the Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee believes that with his extensive work experience, being a qualified officer with practical experience in management and operations, holding many important positions in the Group, Mr. Le Ngoc Son, together with the collective leadership, officers and employees, will continue to promote the achievements, strive to overcome difficulties to grow and develop the Group more and more sustainably.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Le Ngoc Son thanked the leaders of the Government, ministries, central departments, branches, the State Capital Management Committee at enterprises, the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, and the collective leadership of the Group for trusting and entrusting him with the important responsibilities of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, and General Director of the Group.

Mr. Le Ngoc Son, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of the Group, delivered a speech accepting the assignment.

Mr. Le Ngoc Son also expressed his deep gratitude to the elders and generations of Oil and Gas workers who have explored, nurtured, built and developed the Group into the largest economic group in the country, contributing to ensuring energy security, economic security, food security and national defense security of the country.

Emphasizing that in the upcoming journey, besides favorable conditions, Petrovietnam also has to face many difficulties, Mr. Le Ngoc Son believes: "With the spirit of "One team - One goal", together we will continue to open up opportunities in difficulties and challenges, renew old motivation and add new motivation, bringing the Group to new heights".

In his new position, Mr. Le Ngoc Son said that he will work with the Group's leadership, the collective of cadres, party members, and Oil and Gas workers to focus on 6 key tasks to renew old motivations, supplement new motivations, and bring the Group to new heights: improving leadership capacity; enhancing corporate culture; perfecting institutions and policies; improving corporate governance; optimizing investment and financial portfolios; expanding value chains, and developing science and technology.

Representatives of the Committee's leaders, the Party Committee of the Central Enterprise Bloc, and the Group's leaders congratulated Mr. Le Ngoc Son.

On behalf of the leadership, staff and employees of the entire Group, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam Le Manh Hung congratulated Mr. Le Ngoc Son on being trusted and assigned the tasks of Deputy Secretary, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of the Group; and expressed his hope that the Party, the State, ministries, branches, and the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc will continue to pay attention, support, help, lead and direct the Group to complete its production and business tasks, successfully implement the development strategy in the new period, and resolve the difficulties that the Group is facing.

Mr. Le Manh Hung also called on the collective leadership, cadres, party members, and workers in the entire Group to continue promoting the spirit of "One team - One goal" with the motto "accompanying, synchronous, comprehensive, continuous, and goal-oriented", focusing on building and developing the Group in a stable and sustainable manner, becoming the pride of Oil and Gas workers, of the country and of the Vietnamese people.
