Tien Giang: In the first 6 months of the year, export turnover reached 2.9 billion USD

Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien suggested that Tien Giang province continue to promote administrative reform, review and remove inappropriate regulations, procedures and business conditions, creating favorable conditions for enterprises in production and business activities. Proactively review and adjust the provincial planning for submission to the Prime Minister for approval. Urgently implement planning in the fields of energy and minerals.

According to the report, in the first 6 months of the year, the industrial production index of Tien Giang province is estimated to increase by 9.26% over the same period; export turnover reached 2.9 billion USD; import turnover reached 1.5 billion USD; total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue reached over 44,200 billion VND.

Regarding energy sector planning, Tien Giang has 500kV, 220kV and 110kV power grids. Of which, the 500kV power grid has a total single-line length of 114.9km, the 220kV power grid has a total single-line length of 192.1km and the 110kV power grid has a total single-line length of 208km.

Accordingly, in the last 6 months of the year, Tien Giang province will actively implement many solutions to remove difficulties for businesses in terms of administrative procedures, market information, production materials, labor, access to credit, labor, land, energy; monitor and evaluate the supply and demand of goods, especially essential goods such as gasoline, oil, input materials for the agricultural sector, other essential goods... Avoid shortages, supply disruptions, market instability, support investors in implementing the planning of industrial clusters and power grid projects according to the Power Development Plan of Tien Giang province for the period 2016-2025.
