At the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council reviewed and approved the agenda of the 19th and 20th sessions of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026. Accordingly, the 19th session is a thematic session, held in May 2024 to review and resolve 23 submissions of the Provincial People's Committee on arising issues, creating development momentum for the province.

The 20th session is a regular session held to assess the socio-economic situation, national defense and security in the first 6 months of the year, and key tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. The session is expected to take place in July 2024. At this session, delegates will approve reports of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Council committees and reports of the Provincial People's Committee; at the same time, consider and decide on 27 submissions of the Provincial People's Committee and many other important contents.

In his concluding remarks, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Do Trong Hung basically agreed with the contents of the proposed agenda for the two sessions presented by the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council at the meeting. He assigned the Provincial People's Committee to prepare the contents of the submission well and assigned the Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council to direct the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council to prepare the conditions for the 19th session to be held on May 31, 2024.
For the 20th session, he suggested that the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council study and innovate to improve the quality of the session. Specifically, at this session, it is necessary to innovate the presentation of reports and submissions in a concise and succinct manner; not to present reports on the results of resolving voters' opinions and recommendations sent to the 7th, 11th, 14th and 17th sessions of the 18th Provincial People's Council of the Provincial People's Committee, but before the session, it is necessary to publish the reports in the printed and electronic publications of Thanh Hoa Newspaper. For the review reports of the Provincial People's Council committees, which are not presented at the session, the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council needs to prepare a summary report stating the resolved and unresolved issues, with an assessment of the results of resolving voters' opinions and recommendations reported by the Provincial People's Committee.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Do Trong Hung requested the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council to proactively coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial People's Council Committees to complete reports and submissions for the sessions, and update them on the ecabinet.vn software for delegates to study. Also at the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council gave opinions on the content of the questioning at the 18th session of the Provincial People's Council and the content of the 2025 thematic supervision of the Provincial People's Council; gave opinions on the detailed plan of the Explanation Session on the implementation of legal regulations on the management of private medical and pharmaceutical practice in the province, period 2021-2023.
