The Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity held its regular meeting in May.

On May 15, Comrade Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Practices (PCTN-TC) chaired a meeting to evaluate the activities of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Practices in April and identify key tasks for May 2023.

According to the assessment, in April, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Anti-Corruption promptly directed and oriented the handling of a number of serious, complicated corruption and negative cases and incidents that the public was concerned about occurring in the locality according to the Party's regulations and the State's laws. Directed and advised the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to lead and direct the strict implementation of the conclusions and directions of the Central Steering Committee, the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee, recommendations of the members of the Central Steering Committee and conclusions and recommendations of the competent agencies at the central level related to anti-corruption and anti-corruption work. Continued to direct and orient information and propaganda work on anti-corruption and anti-corruption; effectively organized and implemented the coordination regulations between competent agencies in controlling the assets and incomes of people with positions and powers, etc.

In his concluding remarks and directing the implementation of a number of key tasks in May, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee directed the relevant agencies to focus on leading, directing the verification, investigation, clarification and speeding up the progress of handling cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Anti-Corruption; at the same time, closely coordinate in handling newly arising cases and incidents in the province to ensure the required progress and time, not to let wrongful convictions or criminals escape. Directing to improve the effectiveness of asset valuation and asset appraisal in the province in the coming time. Continuing to monitor, urge, inspect and supervise the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity of assigned agencies, units and localities. Focus on directing the handling of corruption and negative cases under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee, clearly defining the responsibilities of each individual, agency, and unit involved and the time to complete each stage in the case handling process to gain experience.
