Strictly implement requirements on protecting national border security

In the period of 2019 - 2024 , the implementation of " National Border Defense Day " has been widely, meaningfully and effectively implemented by relevant sectors and localities . The Provincial Border Guard has coordinated with the Provincial Military Command to regularly review, build forces and organize training for reserve forces and maritime militia and self-defense forces to meet the requirements and quality set forth. Coordinate with functional sectors to do a good job of search and rescue. The awareness and spirit of revolutionary vigilance of cadres and people have been further consolidated; the national border defense posture and the national border defense foundation are important to the national defense posture and the solid people's security posture.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Provincial Party Committee Secretary requested the Provincial Border Guard, functional branches and localities to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the direction of the Party, State and Government on protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the new situation. Along with that, building the province's Border Guard force to be revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern. Each officer and soldier of the Border Guard must constantly promote the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, constantly improve their qualities and political mettle; promote the spirit of dynamism and creativity, proactively overcome difficulties, closely connect, and be a solid support for the Party Committee, government and people.

At the same time, innovate and enhance the activities of the People's Border Day to create high awareness among the people about solidarity to build and develop the economy, ensure national defense and security of the maritime border area. Build a self-governing model of security and order, a model to protect sovereignty over seas and islands; promote the fight against crime, actively prevent natural disasters, search and rescue at sea. Build a strong grassroots political system; promptly grasp and advise on the final handling of emerging issues from the grassroots; closely combine propaganda, dissemination and legal education with encouraging and rewarding collectives and individuals with achievements in implementing the People's Border Day and ensuring security and order in the maritime border area.

Concluding the conference, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Border Guard Command and other sectors and localities to seriously absorb the direction of the Provincial Party Secretary to focus on implementation. Strengthen the dissemination of laws to cadres and people in the coastal border area. Every year, the Provincial Border Guard Command and the units that have signed the coordination regulations must strengthen the direction of communes, wards and towns in the coastal border area to better implement the National Border Guard Day in conjunction with organizing the National Border Guard Festival. Promote the role of the people to actively participate in the cause of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands, protecting political security, social order and safety.

Armed forces units coordinate with localities to do a good job of forecasting and assessing the situation; promptly advise on handling incidents, avoiding being passive or surprised in any situation. Closely combine propaganda work with investigation, prosecution and handling of violations; further promote the work of preventing and combating all types of crimes; prevent illegal fishing in foreign waters. Proactively have plans, plans, forces and means ready to participate in preventing and combating natural disasters, searching and rescuing.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 10 individuals for their outstanding achievements in organizing and implementing the National Border Defense Day, period 2019 - 2024.
