Thua Thien Hue organizes training on people's diplomacy knowledge and skills

On November 7, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Thua Thien Hue province in coordination with the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations and the Diplomatic Academy held the opening ceremony of the Training Course on knowledge and skills of people's diplomacy.

The training course was presented by Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Dinh Quy, Former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Former Ambassador, Head of the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations and a reporter from the Center for Training and Retraining of Foreign Affairs Officials, Diplomatic Academy.

Taking place over 2 days, November 7-8, the training course focused on 3 topics: updating international and regional situations and issues arising in implementing Vietnam's foreign policy; foreign affairs protocol; skills in attending and organizing international conferences and seminars. At the end of the training course, the trainees were awarded a Certificate of Completion of the Foreign Affairs Knowledge and Skills Training Course by the Diplomatic Academy - Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice President of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Thua Thien Hue province Tran Nhu Dang Tuyen said that the training course helps trainees effectively apply knowledge and skills to their work, contributing to improving the quality of people-to-people diplomacy.

The organization of the training course is also an opportunity for trainees from agencies and units to exchange information and share practical experiences, contributing to improving management capacity and effectiveness of foreign affairs work at agencies, units and localities in the coming time.
