In recent years, the work of statistics and reporting on gender equality in general and the implementation of the goals of the National Strategy on Gender Equality in particular in Thua Thien Hue province has been gradually improved. The results of research and surveys related to gender equality have provided important information and data as a basis for the process of building and perfecting legal policies on gender equality.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Ms. Phan Minh Nguyet - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province affirmed that in order to have accurate updated information and data to serve the reporting work on gender equality and the advancement of women, the role of officials and civil servants in charge of this field is extremely important. Therefore, the team of officials and civil servants in charge of the field of gender equality and the advancement of women need to be trained and improved in skills in collecting information and processing data, thereby completing the assigned tasks well.

At the conference, the reporter provided guidance on information and data collection skills focusing on 20 indicators of 6 goals in the Implementation Plan of the National Strategy on Gender Equality in Thua Thien Hue Province for the period 2021-2025. Specifically, data of 6 goals in the fields of: personnel organization; economy, labor; family life and prevention and response to gender-based violence; health; education, training; information and communication will be collected by grassroots officials and investigators, and periodically reported to superior State management agencies and other agencies and organizations on gender equality.
