The dispatch sent to the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Minister of Education and Training stated that recently, the press has reported on a number of shortcomings in the educational activities of the American International Primary, Secondary and High School in Ho Chi Minh City (abbreviated as American International School - AISVN).
Parents ask AISVN school to refund money
To ensure the rights of students and rectify foreign investment activities in the education sector to ensure compliance with regulations and the strictness of the law, the Prime Minister requested the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to be responsible for directing relevant agencies to promptly implement appropriate solutions to ensure the right to study for students.
Accordingly, students' learning must not be interrupted; solutions must be found to stabilize the psychology of students and their parents, as well as ensure order, security, social safety and stability.
Urgently review and consider the responsibility of the investor of the American International School and handle the school's educational activities to ensure compliance with legal regulations and the legitimate rights and interests of students.

At the same time, strictly review and strengthen inspection and examination of schools in the area that are teaching integrated programs and schools with foreign elements to promptly detect and correct violations that may occur early, from afar, and at risk when they first appear.
The Prime Minister also requested the Ministry of Education and Training to urgently complete the draft Decree amending and supplementing Decree No. 86/2018/ND-CP regulating foreign cooperation and investment in the education sector and Decree No. 46/2017/ND-CP regulating conditions for investment and operation in the education sector.
In particular, the Prime Minister requested solutions to strengthen the management of types of schools with foreign elements that are implementing joint ventures, partnerships, and implementing integrated programs, international programs, and joint programs with foreign countries.
In addition, review and inspect foreign-invested schools nationwide that are teaching integrated programs, international programs, and foreign-linked programs to promptly detect, correct, and handle violations, if any.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee sent a report to the Ministry of Education and Training stating that the authorities were implementing measures to ban Ms. Nguyen Thi Ut Em, Chairwoman of the school's Board of Directors, from leaving the country.
