The Prime Minister said that many Vietnamese people studying in Romania have grown up to become doctors, professors, ministers, managers in the construction and information technology sectors, etc.

He recalled that when promoting the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement, Romania played a decisive role in convincing EU countries to approve this agreement. Romania was also one of the first countries to ratify the Vietnam-EU Investment Protection Agreement. Thanks to this, two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and the EU has increased 2-3 times in recent years, including the Covid-19 pandemic.

The head of the Vietnamese government said that the biggest obstacle between the two sides at present is geographical distance, but information technology and AI will remove this obstacle by working indirectly instead of directly.
