Singaporean Prime Minister advises Vietnamese students to "never stop learning" in the AI era, researching to keep up with changes in technology.
During his visit to Vietnam, on August 29, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh went to Hanoi National University in Xuan Thuy, Cau Giay to interact and answer questions from students.

When asked what young people need to learn and practice to meet the requirements of the era of artificial intelligence (AI), the Singaporean Prime Minister advised Vietnamese students to "never stop learning" and to study really well.
"You have to master your expertise and never stop learning," he said. "The knowledge you learn in school is not enough for life, because science, artificial intelligence, and information technology are always changing, so we have to learn to keep up."
Responding to a question from Thu Hong, a student majoring in English at the University of Foreign Languages, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said that English is not a rapidly changing language, but the teaching of English is changing very quickly. Therefore, he asked English education students to "be persistent, diligent, look out into the world, and anticipate changes" in English teaching.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that Mr. Lee Hsien Loong's advice was "very useful for students". "Resources come from thinking, motivation comes from innovation, innovation comes from culture, and culture comes from the people", the Prime Minister said, advising students to "spend time researching, accumulating experience, and listening to teachers".
Sharing his feelings about his visit to Vietnam, the Singaporean Prime Minister said he was very happy to see Vietnam growing and constantly innovating, and Vietnamese youth being dynamic and helping the country develop.
The Singaporean Prime Minister affirmed that the strategic partnership between the two countries, established 10 years ago, will continue to be strengthened. "I look forward to further achievements in cooperation between the two countries in the coming years," Mr. Lee said.
Mr. Lee said that Singapore cooperates with many scientists from around the world, startups and foreign students to this Southeast Asian country. He affirmed that Singapore's success is not only created by local people, but also comes from human resources in the region.

After meeting with students, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had lunch with students of Hanoi National University at the canteen of the University of Foreign Languages.
Professor Le Quan, Director of Hanoi National University, assessed that the visit of Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong created momentum to promote cooperation in education and training, and was an opportunity for students to exchange, interact and enhance their understanding of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Singapore.
On this occasion, two national universities of Vietnam and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore signed a cooperation agreement in exchanging staff, lecturers, students and scientific research.

Singapore is Vietnam's leading economic partner in the region. The two countries are always among each other's 15 largest trading partners, with Vietnam being Singapore's 12th largest trading partner and Singapore being Vietnam's 15th largest trading partner. The total trade turnover between Vietnam and Singapore in 2022 is expected to reach about 9.15 billion USD, an increase of 11.57% compared to 2021.
Singapore leads ASEAN and ranks second in the world in terms of investment capital in Vietnam with 3,273 projects, total capital of 73.4 billion USD.
Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIP) are a symbol of economic cooperation between the two countries with 14 VSIPs in 10 provinces and cities of Vietnam, attracting 18.7 billion USD in total investment capital for about 866 projects, creating nearly 300,000 jobs.
During Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh 's visit to Singapore in February, the two countries established a Digital Economy - Green Economy Partnership, creating a premise to promote cooperation in new fields, towards green and sustainable development.
