Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh receives General Director of Zarubezhneft Company

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the Vietnamese Government always supports businesses of the two countries to expand cooperation, in accordance with the laws of each country, on the basis of the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

According to the special correspondent of VNA, within the framework of his working trip to the Russian Federation to attend the 2024 BRICS Summit in Kazan, the Russian Federation, on the afternoon of October 23 local time, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received General Director of Zarubezhneft Company Kudryashov Sergei Ivanovich.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the field of oil and gas and energy cooperation is a symbol of close and effective cooperation between the two countries, actively contributing to the development of each country.

Reporting to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the results of cooperation between the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and Zarubezhneft in Vietnam and Russia, General Director of Zarubezhneft Kudryashov Sergei Ivanovich thanked the Government and the Prime Minister for their attention and facilitation of cooperation between Zarubezhneft and the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group; said that after meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Hanoi in April, a number of difficulties and obstacles in cooperation between the two sides had been resolved; expressed the hope that the Vietnamese Government and the Prime Minister personally would continue to consider supporting the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and Zarubezhneft to expand cooperation on the basis of mutual benefit, in accordance with the actual situation.

Welcoming the results of more than 40 years of cooperation between the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and Zarubezhneft Company, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the Vietnamese Government always supports businesses of the two countries to expand cooperation, in accordance with the laws of each country, the basis of the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the interests of the people of the two countries; he hoped that the two sides would promote cooperation in new fields, including tourism, green energy, clean energy, construction and development of infrastructure serving energy-oil and gas cooperation.

General Director of Zarubezhneft Kudryashov Sergei Ivanovich agreed with the direction of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; affirmed that he will closely coordinate with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group to realize the Prime Minister's proposals.
