On the afternoon of January 27, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspected the construction and presented gifts to encourage the construction forces of the 500kV transmission line 3 project from Quang Trach (Quang Binh province) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen province).

Accompanying the delegation were Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises Nguyen Hoang Anh; leaders of a number of central ministries, branches and Vietnam Electricity Group; leaders of provinces with construction sites that the Prime Minister inspected and joined the working delegation. The 500kV line project, circuit 3 from Quang Trach to Pho Noi (500kV circuit 3 extension) consists of 4 component projects; with a total length of about 519 km with 1,179 column foundation locations; total investment of about 22,000 billion VND. The project passes through 211 communes and wards of 43 districts and towns in 9 provinces including: Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen. In which, the earliest component project to start construction on October 25, 2023 is the 500kV line project of Nam Dinh I Thermal Power Plant - Thanh Hoa; The remaining 3 component projects are the 500kV Line of Nam Dinh I Thermal Power Plant - Pho Noi; Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa and Quang Trach - Quynh Luu, which will simultaneously start construction on January 18, 2024.

The Prime Minister and the working delegation inspected the construction and presented gifts to encourage the construction forces at 4 locations in 4 provinces, including: location 201 in Chau Son commune, Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh province; location 13 in Nghia Hong commune, Nghia Hung district, Nam Dinh province; location 41 in Thuong Kiem commune, Kim Son district, Ninh Binh province; location 100 in Ha Hai commune, Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa province. At the locations inspected, the Prime Minister said that the 500kV line 3 extension project is a key and urgent project, playing an important role in national energy security, especially in the Northern region; as well as the role of politics, national security, safety, and social order and safety. The Prime Minister commended the Vietnam Electricity Group, relevant ministries, branches, agencies and localities for their efforts to overcome difficulties, promptly resolve problems as directed, start the project and focus on construction.

The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches, and the Electricity Corporation to closely coordinate with local authorities and relevant units to mobilize maximum human and material resources, including mobilizing local forces, local means, and local materials; upholding the spirit of responsibility, proactiveness, creativity, and urgent construction, ensuring quality, savings, safety, and progress; with the spirit of "only discussing work, no backtracking", "3 shifts, 4 shifts" construction, "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain", "no days off, through Tet", "eating quickly, sleeping urgently".

At the same time, proactively respond to unusual external impacts on the construction process such as weather, natural disasters, environment, etc.; promptly resolve arising problems, determined to complete and put the project into operation in June 2024. The Prime Minister requested localities to promptly complete the handover of the project site; properly compensate in accordance with the law for people who have given up land for the project; mobilize local people to participate in related stages and tasks, creating a competitive movement to implement the project.

For people who have projects passing through and are affected by the project, the Prime Minister hopes that people will continue to support the project, actively participate when mobilized and support construction forces; ensure safety, security and order during the project construction process, for the national interest, the development of each locality and for the benefit of each person.
