Also attending the meeting were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries, Party Central Committee members, Head of the Central Economic Commission, Deputy Prime Ministers, Government members, leaders of ministries, branches and agencies under the Government.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh, comrade Ho Duc Phoc, comrade Bui Thanh Son on their appointment as Deputy Prime Ministers; comrade Do Duc Duy on his appointment as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment; and comrade Nguyen Hai Ninh on his appointment as Minister of Justice.
Emphasizing that this is a great honor and also a heavy responsibility entrusted by the Party and State, the Prime Minister requested to closely follow and seriously implement the instructions of General Secretary and President To Lam when handing over the appointment decisions to the comrades.
The Prime Minister hopes that the newly appointed comrades will promote their strengths and work experience, "share the same fate and hardships" with the Government to inherit and promote the valuable traditions and experiences, the great results and achievements of the Government through the periods; further promote solidarity, unity, discipline, integrity, innovation, creativity, drastic and effective actions, and excellently complete the assigned tasks, especially the goals and tasks set forth by the 13th National Party Congress; always wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly serve the Fatherland and the people, all for the benefit of the Party, the nation, and the people, for the strong and prosperous development of the country, for the happiness and prosperity of the people.
On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also congratulated comrade Tran Luu Quang on being trusted, transferred and assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Head of the Central Economic Commission; at the same time, he acknowledged and highly appreciated comrade Tran Luu Quang's important contributions and dedication in his position as Deputy Prime Minister; and hoped that comrade Tran Luu Quang in his new position would continue to coordinate and share with the Government and Government agencies so that the agencies could successfully complete their assigned tasks.
On behalf of the newly appointed comrades, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that this is a great honor, but also a very heavy responsibility before the Party, State and people; vowing to constantly strive, maintain and promote solidarity, unanimity, and efforts with the Government to excellently complete assigned tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
