The inauguration ceremony of the 500kV line 3 circuit project from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) was held directly at Pho Noi 500kV substation and online from 8 connecting points which are the localities where the line passes through.

Attending the inauguration ceremony at the main bridge in the 500kV Pho Noi station area (Hung Yen) were Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. At the bridge in Thai Binh province was Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha. At the bridge in Thanh Hoa province was Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long. At the bridge in Ha Tinh province was Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc.

The 500kV line 3 circuit Quang Trach - Pho Noi project is a large-scale project, with a total length of 519km passing through 9 localities.

At the inauguration ceremony, on behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended the efforts of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), the National Power Transmission Corporation and other units inside and outside the electricity sector that participated in and supported the project's construction to ensure safe and on-schedule energization.

The Head of Government also specially thanked the Deputy Prime Ministers, Minister of Industry and Trade, Chairman of the Capital Management Committee, along with local government leaders and people for their enthusiastic and voluntary support for the country's important line 3.

Reviewing many great lessons to emphasize the significance of the 500kV line 3 project in the context of the country's rapid growth in energy demand and previous power shortages, the Prime Minister said that the project achieved many great meanings.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Bui Quang Huy - First Secretary of the Central Youth Union - said that to support the construction of the power line, the Central Youth Union launched a 30-day and night peak emulation campaign in 9 provinces where the power line passes through. The 9 Provincial Youth Unions established 465 youth volunteer teams with 6,272 members and youths to support the dismantling of 262 houses, 150 barns and structures; clearing and clearing 176 hectares of production forest and cutting down 22,826 trees in the plains and residential areas where the 500kV power line corridor passes through to hand over the construction site for pulling the power line.

According to the First Secretary of the Regiment, through the implementation of the power line project, the Central Youth Union Secretariat has gained a lot of experience. Reporting at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - General Director of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) - said that the construction process encountered many difficulties and challenges that seemed insurmountable when carrying out a large amount of compensation and site clearance work, with a total land area of ​​about 1.83 million m2. The project also encountered difficulties due to the shortage of simultaneous mobilization of many special construction machines and equipment along the entire route when implementing simultaneously from casting foundations, erecting poles, and pulling wires.

According to the General Director of EVN, since the beginning of investment and construction, the 500 kV line 3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi project has received strong and regular attention and direction from the entire political system, especially the direction and administration of the Government and the Prime Minister personally.

“Normally, a project with a scale similar to the 500kV line 3, investment preparation work often takes 2-3 years to start. The Prime Minister directed strongly and required ministries and branches to uphold the highest sense of responsibility to quickly resolve procedures and documents, so less than 5 months from the first submission, the investment policy of the projects was approved. This is unprecedented with previous 500kV line construction projects,” said Mr. Tuan.
