The forum is an opportunity for union officials, union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers to propose and recommend solutions to promote national labor productivity growth.
On the morning of May 26, in Hanoi, the Prime Minister attended the Forum "Improving National Labor Productivity in 2024" organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. This is an activity within the framework of Workers' Month 2024 and is a typical activity to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024).

The forum is an opportunity for union officials, union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers to promote their roles and responsibilities in proposing and recommending solutions to promote national labor productivity, contributing to the development of a prosperous and happy country.
Speaking at the Forum, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that, implementing Notice No. 77-TB/TW dated February 24, 2012, the conclusion of the Party Central Committee Secretariat on agreeing that May every year is Workers' Month, since 2016, the programs of meetings, dialogues, and exchanges between the Prime Minister and union members, workers, civil servants, laborers and trade unions at all levels nationwide have become annual activities, aiming to promote the attention of the entire political system and the whole society to solve workers' issues, taking care of building a modern and strong Vietnamese working class.
Workers' Month is also an opportunity to widely promote the role and mission and continue to promote and affirm the pioneering position and leading force in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country of the Vietnamese working class. This is also the concretization of the content of the implementation of the Regulation on the working relationship between the Government and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Over the past years, the Government and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor have closely coordinated and effectively implemented many activities and solutions to solve urgent issues related to employment, income, life, security and safety of workers; build a modern and strong working class; and make an important contribution to the country's overall achievements.
With the determination to successfully implement the Party's Resolutions, strategies, programs and plans of the Government, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has built and implemented the Program "Vietnam Trade Union accompanies the Government to improve national competitiveness and sustainable development of the country in the period of 2019-2023" with many positive results.
"Faced with the requirement to complete the socio-economic goals and targets for the 2021-2026 term set by the Party, National Assembly and Government, continuing to affirm the role of the Trade Union accompanying the Government, on the occasion of Workers' Month 2024 and towards the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024), the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organizes the Forum with the theme "Improving national labor productivity in 2024" with the hope that the Forum will be an opportunity for workers, civil servants, public employees, trade union officials and businesses in different positions to exchange, discuss and evaluate the current state of Vietnam's labor productivity, causes and bottlenecks", said Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang.
In particular, proposals, recommendations, and suggestions to the Government and the Prime Minister on solutions to continue promoting labor productivity improvement mainly from the perspective of workers. The Forum hopes to receive sharing, evaluation, and messages from the Prime Minister to workers nationwide on the issue of labor productivity improvement.
According to the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Forum's duration is not long, but with enthusiasm and responsibility for a major issue of the country... Therefore, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang suggested that the speeches go straight to the point, focusing on proposing feasible solutions to improve labor productivity in each field of discussion.
