The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry said that the Belarusian Prime Minister will meet with representatives of the Venezuelan government and National Assembly to discuss many issues of mutual concern.

Roman Golovchenko's agenda includes a visit to the birthplace of the prominent Venezuelan colonial-era military and politician Simón Bolívar and the resting place of the late President Hugo Chávez.

At the end of November 2023, a Venezuelan delegation led by Minister of Planning Ricardo Menéndez traveled to Minsk to hold the 9th High-Level Joint Commission meeting between the two countries to promote bilateral strategic cooperation.

Caracas and Minsk established diplomatic relations on February 4, 1997.

The governments of Venezuela and Belarus have continued to strengthen their strong alliance through agreements in food production, energy, education, air transport, trade, petrochemicals, truck and agricultural machinery plants, health care, fishing and aquaculture, pharmaceuticals, housing construction, science and technology, and many other areas.
