(Dan Tri) - After the official welcoming ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko entered into high-level talks, together witnessing the signing of many important documents between the two governments.
On the morning of December 8 at the Presidential Palace, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the welcoming ceremony for Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko on an official visit to Vietnam. Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko began his visit from December 6 to 9, at the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh invited Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko to review the honor guard of the Vietnam People's Army. On December 27, 1991, Vietnam recognized the independence of the Republic of Belarus and the two sides signed a Protocol establishing diplomatic relations on January 24, 1992. At the Government Office, the two leaders visited the area displaying images of the relationship between the two countries. Since establishing relations in 1992, Vietnam and the Republic of Belarus have witnessed positive developments in all areas of cooperation, especially the economy. After the welcoming ceremony, the two Prime Ministers took a group photo in the main hall of the Government Office. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko entered high-level talks between the two governments. Vietnam and the Republic of Belarus have many complementary strengths. Vietnam exports to Belarus seafood, natural rubber, wooden furniture, textiles, footwear, rice, cashew nuts, peanuts, pepper, spices, tea, canned vegetables, pharmaceuticals, computers, etc.; imports milk and dairy products, fertilizers, machinery, equipment, auto parts, tractors, trucks, chemicals, etc. Trade turnover between the two countries in 2022 reached 113.9 million USD, in the first 9 months of this year it reached 46.42 million USD. Currently, Belarus has 3 investment projects in Vietnam with a total capital of 32.2 million USD. Vietnam has an investment project in Belarus with a total investment capital of 810,000 USD. At the end of the talks, the two leaders witnessed the signing of a number of important cooperation documents between Vietnam and the Republic of Belarus.
