Deputy Minister of Culture talks about honesty in product advertising

On the morning of September 15, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Vietnam Advertising Association to launch the Vietnam Creative Advertising Awards 2023 .

At the launching ceremony, Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism - affirmed that the award aims to honor excellent advertising ideas and works imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity in many different forms to guide the community towards beauty and humanistic values.

Through its activities, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism wishes to convey messages to all classes of people about the good values ​​of traditional Vietnamese culture.

"Vietnamese traditional culture never accepts dishonesty and false advertising," said Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy.

According to Ms. Thuy, the contest requirements emphasized honesty when making advertising products. Therefore, the products must be licensed by relevant agencies and have high creativity and aesthetics.

At the event, Mr. Nguyen Truong Son - Chairman of the Vietnam Advertising Association - shared that the Vietnam Creative Advertising Awards is an opportunity for organizations, individuals, businesses, and units of all economic sectors to promote and introduce high-quality advertising products, demonstrate responsibility to the environment and community, bring business efficiency to enterprises, and actively contribute to the State's management of advertising activities.

Accordingly, the Vietnam Creative Advertising Awards 2023 includes two award systems. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's award includes 1 First Prize (30 million VND), 1 Second Prize (15 million VND) and 1 Third Prize (10 million VND) for each category (TV advertising; outdoor billboard advertising; advertising on electronic newspapers and social media platforms and integrated media advertising).

The Organizing Committee's award is proposed and judged by the Vietnam Advertising Association for all categories. It is a grand final award (Grand Prix) for advertising media on television, radio, outdoor, and online.

Along with that are 27 awards for creative categories in radio, television, outdoor advertising (OOH), online advertising; awards for brand categories; awards for media categories. Of which, the cash prize for the final grand prize (Grand Prix) is worth 10,000 USD (equivalent to 240 million VND).

The jury includes representatives of management agencies, experts with in-depth knowledge in the field of advertising, and prestige and influence in the community.

The award ceremony is expected to take place in December 2023 in Hanoi.
