The year 2024 has ended with many difficulties and challenges, further affirming the maturity, growth and resilience, the spirit of "Discipline and Unity" of the homeland of Quang Ninh Mining Region. In the face of difficulties, especially overcoming the fierceness of the historic storm No. 3 (Yagi), the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army in the province have united, strived and achieved important achievements in all areas of Party building and the political system, socio-economics, national defense and security. The economic growth rate reached 8.42%, higher than the national average; the economic scale is estimated at nearly 350,000 billion VND, ranking 7th in the country; GRDP per capita is estimated at more than 10,200 USD; state budget revenue exceeded the estimate assigned by the Central Government, among the leading localities in the country; attracting more than 19 million tourists, of which international visitors are estimated at 3.5 million; cultural, social and human development has made many advances, creating more than 32,000 additional jobs; the work of building new rural areas and sustainable poverty reduction has achieved clear results; all aspects of people's lives have been constantly improved. The work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system has been given comprehensive attention in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres. National defense and security have been maintained; foreign affairs activities have been promoted and deepened. The results achieved are a strong mark of self-reliance, self-reliance and the efforts and determination of the people, comrades, cadres, soldiers, workers and the business community in the province and will be a solid foundation for Quang Ninh and the whole country to enter a new era of development - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
