TPO - In the first days of moving according to the new traffic flow plan on Mai Dich overpass (Hanoi), many people were still confused, some vehicles turned right from the highway, posing a potential risk of traffic accidents.
However, many people do not pay attention or drive according to old habits, changing the right turn lane to the lower road (as in the photo), causing obstruction to vehicles behind, potentially causing traffic accidents. |
During rush hour, there was a large amount of traffic moving towards Ring Road 3, some vehicles changed lanes and turned right onto Pham Van Dong Street, causing local congestion. |
According to the new traffic plan of the Hanoi Department of Transport, all vehicles (except cars) are prohibited from entering the old Mai Dich bridge - the elevated Ring Road 3 highway. |
Vehicles traveling on the old Mai Dich bridge will continue straight to the 3rd ring road, and will not be allowed to change lanes to turn right down. |
In the first days of traffic opening, many drivers did not fully understand the information and violated the rules such as crossing the fishbone lines, changing lanes incorrectly, and not following the new signs. |
The permitted speed for vehicles on the old Mai Dich bridge (highway) and the two new bridge units is 60 km/h. "I think the traffic flow at the Mai Dich - Ring Road 3 intersection is reasonable, but it takes time for people to get used to it. Since the two steel bridges were opened to traffic, traffic has become more convenient and there are less traffic jams than before," said Mr. Hieu in Bac Tu Liem district (Hanoi). |
