Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Phan Xuan Dung, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, said: In recent times, the information and propaganda activities of press agencies have had many positive changes, which are worth noting and praising. The press system of the Union of Associations has basically always implemented the principles and purposes and fully complied with the current regulations of the 2016 Press Law, the Publishing Law, and the State's laws; information posted on electronic publications as well as printed publications is regularly updated, becoming increasingly rich, diverse, attractive, and more closely following outstanding scientific and technological events as well as important information of the country.

The press agencies of the Association have overcome many difficulties and challenges to continue to maintain stability and complete assigned tasks, regularly publish press publications, and promptly serve information and propaganda purposes, contributing to the successful implementation of political tasks assigned by the Party, State and governing agencies.

Overview of the meeting.

Dr. Phan Xuan Dung hopes that the press agencies of the Union of Associations will organize a large gathering of multidisciplinary, multi-professional, multi-field scientists, highlighting and distinguishing the scientific character in each page, each article, each press agency to build and protect the press agency brand of the Vietnamese scientific and technological intellectual team.

At the meeting, Dr. Phan Xuan Dung also informed about the activities of the Association in the first 6 months of 2023. Notably, the Association successfully organized the 60th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's meeting with intellectuals and the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations. General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong attended and delivered a speech at the ceremony. This is a very meaningful event for the scientific and technological intellectuals and the Association.

The Federation of Associations has coordinated with the Ministry of National Defense and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology to successfully organize the Workshop "Professor, Academician Tran Dai Nghia - Life and Career". The workshop gathered valuable documents and shared about the life and career of the first president of the Federation of Associations.
