Agree on the content and time of the 14th Session (special session) of the 16th City People's Council

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of March 13, the Standing Committee of the City People's Council held a meeting to agree on the content and time of the 14th Session (special session) of the 16th City People's Council, term 2021 - 2026. Comrade Pham Van Lap, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council chaired the meeting.

Also attending were comrades: Cao Xuan Lien, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; Le Anh Quan, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Bui Duc Quang, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council and representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches, localities and units.

Up to this point, the contents submitted to the 14th Session (special session) as requested by the City People's Committee have basically ensured the process, time and progress. Of the 8 contents agreed upon at the previous Session, 1 content on Changing the purpose of forest use of the project to renovate and arrange the banks of the Cam River from the junction of the Ruot Lon River to the end of Vu Yen Island has not fully ensured the regulations, so it was not submitted at this Session.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Anh Quan spoke at the meeting.

The City People's Committee continued to propose 4 other contents, including: The urban development program of Hai Phong city, oriented to 2040, vision to 2050; Adjusting the settlement of state budget revenue in the area; settling local budget revenue and expenditure in 2022; Supporting funding for the construction of inspection and monitoring stations on rivers and bays under the Hai Phong Port Border Guard Command; Supplementing the payroll of public employees receiving salaries from the state budget and adjusting the number of labor contracts in educational public employees in the city in 2024... Thus, it is expected that there will be 11 contents presented at the 14th Session (special session) of the 16th People's Council and the Session is expected to be held on Friday, March 22, 2024.

Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Van Lap delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Van Lap emphasized that this is a very important session that needs to be carefully prepared, so he requested the leaders of the City People's Committee to direct the Departments and branches to urgently review the contents, complete the documents in accordance with the provisions of the law, ensure the time schedule, send them to the Committees of the City People's Council for review according to the process, ensuring quality. The Chairman of the City People's Council assigned the Committees of the City People's Council to immediately review the draft Resolution documents when the City People's Committee transfers them, ensuring progress and compliance with regulations.
