On January 13, the Ministry of Public Security said that Mr. Vu Duy Duoc (57 years old, in Dong Hung, Thai Binh) had just come to the Tuan Chau Ward Police Station (Ha Long City, Quang Ninh) to thank the officers and soldiers for promptly rescuing him when he had a stroke in the middle of the road.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, Mr. Vu Duy Duoc is a mechanic on a cruise ship belonging to Bao Ngoc Company Limited, which is anchored at Tuan Chau international passenger port.

On December 19, 2024, after drinking alcohol and beer, in cold weather, he had a stroke in the middle of the road. He had a history of high blood pressure and some heart-related diseases.

After receiving the notice from the people, Lieutenant Nguyen Dang Hai, police officer of Tuan Chau ward, quickly arrived.

Seeing the victim lying unconscious and breathing weakly, Lieutenant Hai performed CPR on the spot and, together with local people, took him to the hospital for timely emergency care.

Up to now, right after being discharged from the hospital, Mr. Vu Duy Duoc went to the Tuan Chau Ward Police Headquarters to thank Lieutenant Nguyen Dang Hai for helping him.

Mr. Duoc hopes that the ward police will always promote the tradition of the police force and always be a solid support for the Party and the people.
