(CLO) A teenager opened fire, killing a classmate and a teacher at a school in the US state of Wisconsin and injuring six others on Monday. Police later found the suspect dead at the scene.
Police have not publicly identified any of the victims at Abundant Life Christian School, a private institution that educates about 400 students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
At least six others were injured, police said. Two students suffered life-threatening injuries. Four others suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooter, a student at the school who used a handgun, was found dead by police inside the school. Police have not released the shooter's identity, age or gender.
The motive for the violence, which authorities said occurred in an indoor space at the school, is still unclear. The shooter’s family is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes, a former public school history teacher, said the shooting happened just before 11 a.m. local time.
There have been 322 school shootings in the U.S. this year, according to the K-12 School Shooting Database. That's the second-highest number since 1966, according to the database — second only to last year's 349 such shootings.
The Wisconsin shooting comes 12 years and two days after one of the most notorious school shootings in U.S. history: the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. A 20-year-old man armed with a semiautomatic rifle killed 20 children between the ages of 6 and 7 and six adults working at Sandy Hook.
