No regrets after nearly a year in office
In just a few hours, Thien An will hand over the crown to her successor Miss Grand Vietnam, how do you feel right now?
Perhaps, my reign is shorter than most other beauty queens. I cherish this title and this journey. I have had the opportunity to experience many meaningful things, different emotions, in less than a year. This helps me change my thinking, mature and change in a much more positive way.

Becoming Miss Grand Vietnam, I got to meet many talented people, share experiences with many seniors, contribute to the community and travel to many new lands.
The opportunities and challenges that come to me also help me to constantly practice and change myself to adapt to many roles, be more proactive in work as well as more positive in my thinking.
Of course, the shortness of this term makes me feel nostalgic about what I have experienced. However, when I see the candidates trying hard every day throughout the rounds, I can't help but feel impatient to see who my successor will be. (Laughs)
Thien An, from the time she was an online sales student to Miss Grand Vietnam, must have been more well-off?
Luckily, last year I had many opportunities to work with many brands and partners. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my partners for their trust, as well as the audience for their support over the past time, helping me to improve my family's finances. Thanks to that, my father and I have a better life.
However, what I feel proud of during my tenure is that I can do useful things and contribute to the community through my own projects.
Although there was a lot of pressure on that journey, I have no regrets. Because I know that even after my term ends, my journey, with goals for the community and my family, will be put first and I will continue to write my unfinished projects and activities.

Pressure doesn't just come from the title
Will An feel relieved and less pressured when handing over the crown to her successor, like the pressure she felt when she was criticized for her appearance right after her coronation?
I think we all face different pressures from different aspects of our lives. We all have to find ways to overcome our own challenges.
For me, the pressure comes not only from the title, from the surrounding influences but also from many other goals that I set for myself. Surely when this journey ends, I will have to try harder to overcome other greater pressures.
Honestly, from the time I entered the contest, to the time I was crowned, to the time I was about to end my term, the comments about my appearance have not stopped.
But if I look at those words in a positive way, this is the motivation for me to practice and change more every day.
However, each person is a separate individual, no one is perfect and no one deserves to be judged on their appearance. I just hope that we can give each other respect and contribute to a world full of love.
Among the harsh comments from anti-fans, was there any sentence that hurt you the most?
I feel that if it is a “negative” comment, there is no sentence that is not “hurtful”. But I believe that somewhere in these opinions there are things that we need to acknowledge and improve.
If those are offensive or untrue comments, I will filter them so that they do not affect my journey of self-improvement.
Do you ever feel annoyed about being a beauty queen?
If I had ever felt that way, I probably wouldn't have signed up for a beauty pageant in the first place. (Laughs)
That's why the title of Miss has never made me feel awkward. I think what makes me feel awkward is the opinions and prejudices that a part of the audience has about Miss, but becoming Miss has always been something that I cherish.
If I could choose again, I would still not change my decision to compete and have the opportunity to become a beauty queen. Because if I keep thinking about “going back” or “choosing again” or changing something in the past, I will not be able to think much about the future and how to improve myself. I choose to look to the future and aim to change the future rather than the past.
Do you have anything you want to say to your fans and... anti-fans before your term ends?
To the audience, whether they love me or not, I will still try to change myself every day.
I appreciate and am grateful for every concern and suggestion that helps me gain useful experiences and lessons. You will forever be the reason for me to continue to persevere and pursue my dreams.
Ready to compete internationally if there is more opportunity
At the end of your term, do you have any plans?
Definitely, I plan to continue exploring myself in the field of acting, an area that I feel passionate about and want to develop more.
Thien An said she has matured and thought more carefully after nearly a year as beauty queen.
At the same time, I will continue to maintain the “Learning Books” series, plan new community projects and continuously spread positive energy to the community. I dare not share more details about the future for fear of “talking too much before taking a step”. (Laughs)
I also have no plans to participate in any other international competitions. In the future, if I have the opportunity and am trusted with this responsibility, I will still be ready to represent Vietnam in international competitions.
What about plans in love?
Right now, I want to focus on work and community projects so I don't think much about love.
I am often attracted to warm and delicate people. However, for me, the most important thing is the feelings that two people have for each other. When I really meet someone who feels suitable and in harmony with my soul, then I will move forward.
Before ending your memorable term, do you have any message or expectations for the new Miss Grand Vietnam 2023?
I hope the new Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 always believes that the efforts you put in will be worth it in the not too distant future.
I am sure that the girls who hold the title of Miss Grand Vietnam are all strong, independent girls who always understand what they want, what they need and what they should do.
So, believe in yourself and continue your "peace" mission in the best way possible!
Thank you for sharing!
