Efforts to restore tourism activities
In 2023, Cua Lo town will focus on directing the planning and renovation of the park area east of Binh Minh Street after clearing 209 kiosks, LED lighting systems, decorative electricity, lighting on inner-city roads, check-in points, food courts, beach embankments, hotel restaurant systems, Binh Minh Square area... to ensure safety, satisfaction and comfort for visitors.
Organized a commitment to ensure food hygiene and safety for organizations and individuals doing tourism business; held exams and granted certificates to 410 electric vehicle drivers; managed the environment, ensured security and safety for tourists, etc.
Successfully organized the Cua Lo Tourism Opening Festival in 2023, creating a highlight to start a prosperous year of Cua Lo tourism. Before and after the opening of the Festival, the town organized a series of cultural, sports and festival activities throughout the tourism year, attracting a large number of people and tourists to attend.
As a result, the total number of tourists in 2023 is estimated at 3.6 million (106% of the annual plan), up 14.2% over the same period. Of which, the number of overnight guests is estimated at 1.256 million (100.05% of the annual plan), up 10.5% over the same period. Revenue from service and tourism activities is estimated at VND 3,562 billion (100.03% of the annual plan), up 10.6% over the same period.
Towards sustainable development goals
In 2024, Cua Lo town sets a goal of welcoming and serving 4.15 million tourists, of which 1.45 million will be overnight guests; tourism revenue will reach 4,200 billion VND.
On that basis, Cua Lo town has identified key tasks and solutions including: Promoting tourism propaganda and promotion; continuing urban planning and embellishment; paying attention to environmental sanitation, food hygiene and safety and epidemic prevention and control; ensuring security, order and safety for tourists; building and renewing tourism products, etc.

Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh An - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism acknowledged the achievements of Cua Lo town, and at the same time hoped that the leaders and people of the town would continue to promote the achievements in 2024.
