In the area around Han market, many people have come early in the morning to choose flowers. According to the traders here, since December 20, many people have bought flowers, but mainly for offerings before Tet. It was not until this morning that it started to get crowded and bustling, and the amount of flowers bought was also large.
“In the past, the flowers sold were mainly chrysanthemums, but now customers choose to buy more lilies and gladiolus to display on Tet. The variety of flower prices and designs also helps customers choose easily,” said Ms. Nguyen Anh Chi, a flower stall vendor in this area.
Most flowers are the same price as last year's Tet and most only range from 10,000 to 500,000 VND/bunch depending on the type. Lilies range from 200,000 to 400,000 VND/bunch; gladiolus range from 80,000 to 150,000 VND/bunch.
For chrysanthemums, the prices are more diverse and affordable. Small net chrysanthemums cost only 15,000 to 25,000 VND/bunch, large net chrysanthemums cost 50,000 to 60,000 VND/bunch. Dyed star flowers cost only 90,000 VND/bunch.
Ms. Minh Chi (Hai Chau district) after a walk around the flower street in the Han market area and buying some bunches of willows and chrysanthemums was happy to see that the Tet flowers were the same price as usual, not much higher.
“With this price, customers can choose more freely without worrying about calculating expenses. If the price is too high, I will only buy flowers for worship, but I will consider more carefully if I want to display them in the living room,” Chi shared.
According to the traders, Tet flowers are only sold today and tomorrow, December 30th, then they will be closed and will be sold again around the 3rd day of Tet. Therefore, everyone is trying to sell, promote, and reduce prices to please buyers in order to quickly sell all the flowers that the traders have imported.
