Candidates taking the 10th grade exam in 2024 with the highest scores in the province are from this school.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Quynh - principal of Nguyen Luong Bang Secondary School (Thanh Mien town, Thanh Mien district, Hai Duong province) said: "I was very happy to hear that the two valedictorians and salutatorians were both students of Nguyen Luong Bang Secondary School. They were Pham Ngoc Anh Quan, who achieved a total of 46.8 points (Math 10, Literature 8.5 and English 9.8) and Nguyen Thao Nguyen, who excelled with 46.1 points (Math 9.75, Literature 9 and English 8.6). The two students were also students in the same class 9A1".

According to teacher Quynh, Anh Quan and Thao Nguyen were both good students, good at studying, and were among the top students in class 9A1 as well as the entire grade 9 last school year.

The valedictorian with the highest score belongs to Pham Ngoc Anh Quan, a student of class 9A1, Nguyen Luong Bang Secondary School.

For valedictorian Pham Ngoc Anh Quan, his family has a stable economy, but his circumstances are a bit special. His parents work and live in Russia, and he lives at home with his older sister. Although his parents do not take care of him or teach him regularly, Quan still studies hard, is obedient, and achieves the title of excellent student every year.

As for Nguyen Thao Nguyen, her father is in the army and her mother is a teacher. The family is stable and happy, always taking care of their children to have the best conditions and environment for learning.

Candidate Nguyen Thao Nguyen, a 9A1 student at Nguyen Luong Bang Secondary School, achieved the second highest score in the 10th grade high school exam in Hai Duong in the 2024-2025 school year.

Mr. Quynh also said that in the 10th grade entrance exam, 156/158 grade 9 students of the school registered to take the exam to enter high schools. Although the standard score to pass each high school in the district is not yet known, many students achieved high scores, over 40 points. In previous years' 10th grade entrance exams, Nguyen Luong Bang Secondary School always had a very high rate of students passing the 10th grade exam.

Four years ago, Nguyen Luong Bang Secondary School had two students who both achieved the highest scores, even being valedictorians. One of them was valedictorian of the 10th grade of high schools in Hai Duong province; the other was valedictorian of Nguyen Trai Specialized High School. Now they have graduated from high school and are in their first year of university.

It is known that Nguyen Luong Bang Secondary School is a high-quality secondary school, a spearhead not only of Thanh Mien district but also of Hai Duong province. The predecessor of Nguyen Luong Bang School is Ninh Thanh Gifted Secondary School. The school was established in 1993 and has had 31 years of formation, construction and development.

Every year, the school always has from 60 to 70 students winning prizes in competitions for excellent students in various subjects; the percentage of grade 9 students passing the 10th grade entrance exam is high.

According to the plan of the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong province, on June 13-14, it will receive applications for re-examination of exam papers from candidates. From June 15-17, the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong will organize re-examination of exam papers (if any). On June 18, the Department of Education and Training will announce the results of the first choice admission.

From June 19-20, candidates will complete admission procedures for their first choice. From June 21-22, the results of admission for their second choice will be announced. Before July 26, review admission to non-public high schools and complete admission to grade 10 high schools for the 2024-2025 school year.
