The 2024 high school graduation exam has ended. This is the time for candidates to rest after a stressful review period, but don't rush to relax, but quickly take note of some notes to make sure you get into university.

After taking the high school graduation exam, candidates need to keep track of important milestones.
Track important milestones
According to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam will be announced at 8:00 a.m. on July 17.
Accordingly, schools will organize graduation recognition exams no later than July 19, announce results no later than 2 days later, and send certificates of these exam results by the deadline of July 23. Thus, before July 23, candidates will receive temporary graduation certificates.
All candidates participating in university admission must register their admission wishes for the first round of all methods on the common system between July 18 and 5:00 p.m. on July 30.
During this time, candidates are allowed to adjust their wishes an unlimited number of times, so they can operate and make adjustments many times if there are errors or want to change from the original registration.
After finishing the exam, candidates should estimate their test scores, review their initial registration wishes, and refer to the benchmark scores of previous years' majors and schools. These are important preparation steps for you to be ready to participate in the upcoming admission process.
Notes for candidates admitted through early admission methods
The 2024 university admission regulations stipulate that before 5:00 p.m. on July 10, schools must complete early admission and notify candidates of the results to register for admission on the Ministry of Education and Training's general information portal; at the same time, update the list of candidates eligible for early admission to the system.
Accordingly, candidates who are eligible for early admission are required to review their admission wishes on the common portal after the schools update their lists.
In addition to registering directly at the schools, after receiving the admission results, candidates who are eligible for early admission must register their first round of admission wishes on the common system between July 18 and 5:00 p.m. on July 30 to filter out fake candidates.

Note that it is very common for a candidate to apply using early admission methods to many schools and receive many notifications of eligibility for admission, however, the candidate is only admitted to one wish.
During the process of registering for admission on the general system, candidates can register for many majors and many schools without any limit on the number, but must arrange their wishes in order of priority from highest to lowest to ensure the chance of being admitted.
For candidates who have met the early admission requirements according to the announcement of the schools, if they put it up as their first choice on the system, the possibility of admission is almost certain.
For example, if a candidate has been admitted conditionally to the information technology major at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) by considering high school transcripts and meeting the high school graduation requirements, the next step is to register this wish as the first wish on the common system of the Ministry of Education and Training to ensure admission to the correct major and school as desired.
Consider high school transcripts to increase your chances of being admitted to your favorite major
Candidates who have completed the 2024 high school graduation exam, while waiting for official results, can choose to register for admission based on transcripts to be more proactive about their scores, not having to depend entirely on the results of a single exam, and seize the opportunity to be admitted to the university of their choice.

Immediately after the exam, it was noted that many candidates registered for admission based on their transcripts to HUTECH. In 2024, HUTECH will apply 4 admission methods, including 2 methods based on transcripts, including admission based on the average score of 3 subjects in grade 12 and admission based on the average score of 3 semesters.
It is known that HUTECH is accepting applications based on high school transcripts until July 25 with both methods from an early admission score of 18 points onwards.

With a score considered 'adequate', candidates applying for admission based on their high school transcripts to HUTECH can proactively 'win a place' in the university of their choice, including 'hot' majors with high competition rates such as Multimedia Communications, Marketing, Digital Marketing,
Graphic Design, Public Relations, Information Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology, Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, English Language…
