Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology announced the floor score
Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology stipulates that the minimum score from the 2024 high school graduation exam results is 18 points for the combined admission method.
Accordingly, in the comprehensive admission method, candidates are evaluated using a combination of three components and corresponding weights used for admission.
Of which, academic performance accounts for 90%, personal achievement accounts for 5% and social activities, literature, sports and arts account for 5%.
Specifically as follows: Academic criteria (90%), including 3 components: high school study score (including 6 semesters corresponding to the admission registration combination); high school graduation exam score (including subjects in the admission combination); 2024 capacity assessment test score.
Candidates' academic performance is calculated based on their 3-year high school grades, high school graduation exam scores, and competency assessment exam scores.
Individual achievement criteria (5%), students winning national excellent student competitions, Science and Technology awards, foreign language proficiency, international admission certificates, members of national, provincial/municipal excellent student teams, and other academic awards.
Criteria for social activities, culture, sports and arts (5%).
Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology stipulates that the minimum score for the 2024 National University of Ho Chi Minh City's capacity assessment exam is 600 points. The minimum score for the 2024 high school graduation exam is 18 points (according to the admission combination). The minimum score for high school academic performance is 54 points (the total score of 3 subjects according to the admission combination in 3 years of high school).
Formula for calculating academic component scores in admission:
Academic component score = (0.7 x Converted GPA score) + (0.2 x High School Graduation Exam score x3) + (0.1 x High School Graduation Score)
In which: High school graduation exam score is the total score of 3 subjects according to the admission combination (maximum 30 points). High school academic performance score is the average score of 3 subjects according to the admission combination in 3 years of grades 10, 11, 12 (maximum 90 points). As for the converted capacity assessment exam score, it is calculated as follows:
For candidates who take the Ho Chi Minh City National University's 2024 competency assessment exam: Converted GPA = GPA exam score x 90 / 990
For candidates who do not take the Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam in 2024: Converted GPA = 0.75 x (High School Graduation Exam Score / 30 x 1200) x 90/990.
