The school's floor score is the minimum score (without coefficient) of candidates who are high school students in region 3 for each admission combination of 3 exams/subjects.

Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, head of the training department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, said that the school still reserves 50% of the quota for all majors and training programs to consider the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam.

"The predicted benchmark score for the school's high school graduation exam score consideration method for the B00 group of majors such as chemistry, biology, environment and pharmacy is expected to not increase.

"While the business, management, service sectors... considering the D01 combination, the benchmark score will increase slightly. As for the engineering, computer and information technology sectors... considering the A00, A01 combination, the benchmark score will increase insignificantly from 0.25 - 0.5 points," Mr. Nhan predicted.

Vietnam Aviation Academy announced the admission scores for candidates using the results of the 2024 high school exam. Accordingly, candidates applying for admission to majors must reach the threshold to ensure input quality (floor score) from 16 to 20 points. The floor score set by the school includes priority points.

At the same time, candidates do not have any exam/subject in the admission combination with a result of 1.0 point or lower.

The school does not specify the difference in admission scores between groups. Admission scores and passing scores for training programs are the common benchmark scores for admission groups of training programs according to each registration code.

In case the candidate has the same admission score at the end of the list, the school will give priority to: the candidate with higher wishes; the average admission score of the main subject in the admission combination is higher.

Minimum score for comprehensive admission method of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) has announced detailed information about the school's comprehensive admission method (method 5). This method accounts for 90% of the school's enrollment quota.

Accordingly, except for candidates who were students of the school and were disciplined by being expelled within 5 years (from the date of registration for admission in 2024) or were disciplined by being expelled due to taking exams for others or using fake degrees, certificates, or documents; all candidates who wish to register for admission to the school are eligible to apply.

The school announces the threshold for ensuring input quality for method 5:

• Ho Chi Minh City National University's 2024 capacity assessment test score: 600 points.

• High school graduation exam score in 2024: 18 points (according to admission combination)

• High school academic score: 54 points (the total score of 3 subjects according to the admission combination in 3 years of high school).

Candidates register for admission according to the following steps:

Step 1: Candidates register for admission on the Ministry of Education and Training's admission portal and at the same time register their application information at the University of Science and Technology's admission registration portal.

Step 2: Access the admissions portal of the University of Science and Technology to register additional information for the admission application (mybk.hcmut.edu.vn >> Section 12. University-College Admissions Registration or mybk.hcmut.edu.vn/tuyensinh).

• Fill in personal information: resume, high school transcript.

• Upload photo profiles: photos demonstrating awards, academic achievements, talents, etc.

• Fill in admission information (Grade 1 exam scores, high school exam scores...).

• Fill in information and upload a photo of your foreign language certificate (if any) to your photo profile to convert your English subject in your high school transcript and your English score in the high school graduation exam.

Step 3: Successful candidates confirm their admission at the ministry's admission portal, and submit their application and complete admission procedures at the school.

Candidates pay admission fees according to the number of wishes registered on the Ministry of Education and Training's information portal, from July 31 to 5:00 p.m. on August 6 (according to the ministry's announcement).

Candidates pay the admission fee to the University of Science and Technology according to method 5 together with other wishes on the information portal of the Ministry of Education and Training.

After paying the admission fee, candidates submit proof of payment (transfer receipt, transfer screen...) to the 'PT5 payment receipt image' section in the 'Photo profile' section on the school's admission software.

Candidates are evaluated by a combination of 3 elements and the corresponding weights are used for admission. Of which, academic ability accounts for 90%, personal achievement accounts for 5% and social activities, literature, sports and arts account for 5%. Specifically as follows:

• Academic criteria (90%), including 3 components: high school study score (including 6 semesters corresponding to the admission combination); high school graduation exam score (including subjects in the admission combination); 2024 capacity assessment test score.

• Candidates' academic performance is calculated based on their 3-year high school grades, high school graduation exam scores, and competency assessment test scores.

• Individual achievement criteria (5%): Students who won national excellent student competitions, science and technology awards, foreign language proficiency, international admission certificates, members of national, provincial/municipal excellent student teams, and other academic awards.

• Criteria for social activities, literature, sports and arts (5%): literature, sports and arts, other social activity achievements.

Formula for calculating academic component scores in admission of method 5:

Academic component score = (0.7 x converted capacity assessment score) + (0.2 x high school graduation exam score x 3) + (0.1 x high school academic score)

In there:

• High school graduation exam score: Total score of 3 subjects according to the admission combination (maximum 30 points).

• High school graduation score: Average score of 3 subjects according to the admission combination in 3 years of grades 10, 11, 12 (maximum 90 points).

As for the converted capacity assessment score, it is calculated as follows:

• For candidates taking the 2024 competency assessment exam:

Converted capacity assessment = Capacity assessment test score x 90 / 990

• For candidates who do not take the 2024 competency assessment exam:

Converted capacity assessment = 0.75 x (High school graduation exam score / 30 x 1200) x 90/990

The school notes that candidates can only use the results of the high school graduation exam and the capacity assessment of Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2024. For independent candidates, candidates can only reuse their high school transcript scores.
