Another pedagogical school organizes competency test in Da Nang

Information on the specialized competency assessment exam was shared in the 2024 Exam Season Consulting program organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper, which took place at Sky-Line Hill Primary, Secondary and High School, Ha My Dong A urban area (Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam) this morning (March 3). The program was coordinated by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Nam, the Sky-Line Education System with the support of universities, colleges, vocational schools, etc. Nearly 4,000 grade 12 students from 10 high schools in Quang Nam province attended the program.

The program is broadcast live on the following platforms: website thanhnien.vn and Thanh Nien Newspaper channels on Facebook, YouTube and TikTok with the support of high-speed internet connection from VNPT Quang Nam.

Sharing in the program, Master Le Phan Quoc, Deputy Head of Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, this year the school's admission method is kept stable as in 2023. Among the 5 admission methods, there is a method related to the specialized competency assessment exam. Regarding this point, Master Quoc noted: "The admission method using the specialized competency assessment exam score is only one of the 5 admission methods of the school this year. If candidates cannot take this exam, they can still participate in the school's admission by other methods such as: considering academic records, considering high school graduation exam scores, priority admission...".

On this occasion, representatives of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education announced new information related to the specialized competency assessment exam that the school will organize this year. Specifically, the school will have a new location organized right in Da Nang on May 17 and 18 to serve candidates in the Central and Central coastal regions. The school will have an official announcement about this.

Can candidates from the Central region come to Ho Chi Minh City to participate in separate admissions?

"This method does not only consider the specialized competency assessment test scores, candidates need to add scores from 2 other subjects according to the admission combination based on high school academic results. That means, this is a method that combines the competency test scores and the academic transcript scores," Master Quoc added.

Previously, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education announced that it would organize a specialized competency assessment exam in 3 rounds. Notably, in addition to the exam site at the school as every year, this year the school plans to expand 1 exam site in Long An. The first round will take place over 3 days (March 29-31) at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.
