This is the special return of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra after 12 years of absence in Vietnam. The atmosphere in the auditorium seemed to freeze when the first sounds rang out, leading the audience on a journey to discover the timeless beauty of classical music in Vienna - the place known as the "heart of European classical music".

The program began with Joseph Haydn’s Symphony No. 73 in D major, “The Hunt,” which evoked a spirit of excitement and pure joy. This was followed by a cello solo by Péter Somodari, an artist with a natural talent and expressive performance style. His playing told an emotional story, sometimes gentle, sometimes intense, leaving the audience unable to take their eyes off him.

The second part of the program featured Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major, creating moments of relaxation and depth. The night ended with Johann Strauss’s waltz, Sounds of Spring, stirring up the space, creating a bright and joyful atmosphere.

With over 75 years of history, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra offers more than just music, it also delivers perfection in every detail of performance. Conductor Harald Krumpöck leads the musicians with great delicacy and connection, creating a harmonious and deeply emotional whole.

Péter Somodari - the star cellist of the night - touched the hearts of the audience with every note. He proved that music is not only about technique but also about connecting souls.

The Vienna Concert once again affirms the power of music in connecting people and cultures. The fact that the Hoan Kiem Theater welcomes the world's leading orchestras not only promotes artistic exchange but also opens up opportunities for Vietnamese audiences to access the quintessence of European music right at home.
