The principal led a female student with cerebral palsy onto the stage to receive her university diploma.

Nguyen Mai Anh (born in 2001, Phu Tho) is known as a female student with cerebral palsy who always strongly faces her illness to become a student of Hanoi Law University.

Dr. Doan Trung Kien, Principal of Hanoi Law University, led student Mai Anh onto the stage.

Mai Anh was born and raised in a family where both parents are teachers and she has a twin sister named Nguyen Truc Anh, who is studying at Hanoi University of Pharmacy. Mai Anh said that there were times when she wanted to give up, but when she thought about her parents and sister, Mai Anh had more motivation to try harder.

Mai Anh received a certificate of merit from the school at the graduation ceremony.

After 4 years of studying, Mai Anh officially graduated and received a certificate of merit from the school, opening a future journey ahead. More specifically, during the graduation ceremony, the Principal, Dr. Doan Trung Kien (Hanoi Law University) led Mai Anh to the stage to receive the diploma, the recorded moment received great attention from the online community.

Mai Anh said that she was very grateful to the Principal and the entire Board of Directors, teachers and staff at Hanoi Law University for their care and help during the past time. “I would like to express my deep gratitude to everyone who has always supported and followed my journey. Thank you for your wishes, I will carry these good things as motivation for what is to come…”, Mai Anh shared.

Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Hao, Mai Anh’s mother, said that this was a very meaningful day for the whole family and that she was extremely grateful to Hanoi Law University. “That is where my child can be himself. He lives comfortably and confidently. Here, there is only sharing love and saying no to discrimination…”, Ms. Hao was moved.

In addition, Ms. Hao said that she always respectfully sends her deep gratitude to Hanoi Law University and everyone who has always cared for, loved and given strength to her daughter Mai Anh over the past 4 years. "My family believes that this is the best foundation for our daughter to continue to overcome difficulties in the upcoming journey," Ms. Hao shared.
