After the dissolution of the City Police, 102 cadres and party members of the City Police Party Committee were transferred to specialized departments of the Provincial Police; 70 cadres and party members were transferred to the police of communes and wards of the city.

As of March 19, the police of 15 communes and wards had 235 officers and soldiers. Immediately after implementing the new model, the police force of communes and wards quickly grasped the situation, administrative procedures related to people were resolved quickly, promptly and conveniently. Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Hung Vuong suggested that local Party committees, authorities and police of communes and wards proactively grasp the situation and promptly advise on resolving problems and issues arising at the grassroots level. At the same time, promote propaganda and political and ideological education to raise awareness among cadres, civil servants, soldiers, armed forces and people of all walks of life in the fight against crime and maintaining security and order in the area.
