To continue to maintain security and order, social stability, absolutely protect security and safety during the 2024 Lunar New Year and major national events, and create a foundation for good performance of tasks in 2024, from the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Public Security launched a peak campaign to attack and suppress crime, ensuring security and order.
Accordingly, from December 15, 2023, the Ministry of Public Security requires the Public Security of units and localities to focus on synchronously deploying professional measures; promptly deploy measures, effectively fight, contribute to maintaining security and order, not to be passive or surprised in any situation; advise local Party committees and authorities to direct departments, branches, sectors and organizations to participate, contributing to promoting the combined strength of the entire political system in attacking and suppressing crimes, ensuring security and order.
Effectively implement solutions to ensure social security; promote propaganda and mobilize the masses to raise vigilance, proactively prevent crimes, actively participate in denouncing crimes, reform and educate criminals and law violators in families and communities.

Review, supplement, complete and strengthen the implementation of plans and schemes to protect national security; synchronously deploy measures and promote the implementation of plans and schemes to prevent and combat crimes effectively, not allowing complex crimes to cause public outrage; focus on suppressing organized crimes, crimes related to "black credit", crimes using weapons and explosives to commit crimes, robberies, snatching, theft and other types of crimes that often occur during Tet.
Strengthen the fight to destroy large-scale, transnational drug trafficking and transportation networks, drug production, trading, organization and use locations in the country; step up the detection and fight against economic crimes and corruption in key economic sectors and fields, fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods during the Lunar New Year; prevent crimes and violations of the law on the environment, resources, food safety, especially goods serving the Lunar New Year; closely coordinate among forces in identifying, detecting and fighting against criminals who take advantage of high technology and cyberspace to operate, especially acts of fraud, gambling, prostitution, etc.
Resolutely deploy solutions to apply the national database on population, citizen identification, Project 06/CP to serve social management and crime prevention and control; effectively carry out management, propaganda, mobilization, recovery and prevention, and combat violations of weapons, explosives, support tools and fireworks, and avoid complications during the Lunar New Year.
