Thu Duc City organizes half marathon for the first time

Taking place from September 1-3, the Son Kim Thu Duc City Run 2023 marks the first annual sporting event of Thu Duc City. This is an important sporting activity, expected to contribute to strengthening community connectivity, honoring the values ​​of tradition and heritage as well as aiming towards the core values ​​of a creative, open and vibrant city.

The race will take place in different distances including 21km, 10km, 5km. In addition, there will also be 3km and 1.5km distances for children.

Chi Pu is the image ambassador for the race.

Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism , shared: " Ho Chi Minh City is aiming to become a "City of Events" with dynamism, creativity and diversity of events, to promote tourism to attract domestic and foreign tourists. Son Kim Thu Duc City Run is one of the new "products".

The Son Kim Thu Duc City Run is part of the direction of developing cultural events for this area. This is a special mark in the series of activities to celebrate the National Day on September 2, bringing many holiday experiences to people and contributing positively to the progress of the "city within the city" model .

According to information from the Organizing Committee, the race will be measured to meet international standards of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). The standards are measured and recognized by experts in the field of measurement of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).
