On the morning of April 20, the Steering Committee for Building a Learning Society of Phu Ly City summarized and awarded prizes for the 2024 Community Bookcase Introduction Contest. The activity is in response to the 3rd Book and Reading Culture Day in 2024 (April 21, 2022 - April 21, 2024).
Participating in the contest are 18/21 Community Learning Centers of communes and wards in Phu Ly city. The time for registration, implementation of content according to requirements, rules and judging starts from April 1 to April 15, 2024.
According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, most of the teams have invested in making elaborate video products from content to form, including: Introducing the community bookshelf of their commune or ward in terms of scale, number of books, types of books, with diverse, vivid and attractive illustrations.
18 contest videos were posted on social networks, attracting thousands of likes and views. Some contest videos with many likes, views, and shares include: Videos of Tien Tan, Trinh Xa, Chau Son, Liem Tiet, Hai Ba Trung Commune Community Learning Centers, etc. In particular, Tien Tan Commune's video has more than 5,000 likes and nearly 3,000 views.
Community bookcases of communes and wards are increasingly diverse and rich in book types: law books, books on life skills education, animal husbandry, flower growing, clean vegetable growing, traditional craft villages, etc. The effectiveness of the Community Bookcases has contributed to spreading the reading movement to family, clan and residential group bookcases; helping people and students have more sources of documents to serve their study, work, entertainment, cultivate scientific and technical knowledge applied to production, improve people's knowledge, thereby actively contributing to the development of reading culture at the grassroots level.
At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to Chau Son Ward Community Learning Center; Second Prize to 2 units of Tien Tan Commune and Trinh Xa Commune Community Learning Center; 3 Third Prizes to 3 units of Liem Chinh Ward, Hai Ba Trung Ward and Liem Tiet Commune Community Learning Center and 6 consolation prizes.
