Ninh Binh City launched a campaign to support the Gratitude and Social Security Fund in 2023

On the morning of August 23, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Binh City held a launching ceremony to support the "Gratitude and Social Security" Fund in 2023.

Attending the launching ceremony were comrade Dinh Van Tien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Ninh Binh City Party Committee; representatives of agencies, units, businesses, philanthropists, religious dignitaries, armed forces and people from all walks of life in the city.

Inheriting and promoting the moral tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" and "Mutual love", over the years, the Party Committee and the government of Ninh Binh city have always paid attention to leading, directing, and mobilizing all resources to well perform the work of gratitude and social security.

In July 2017, the Fund for "Repaying gratitude and social security" of Ninh Binh city was established. Over the past 6 years, the Fund for "Repaying gratitude and social security" of the city has received support from organizations, businesses, and philanthropists with a total amount of nearly 5 billion VND.

Under the direction of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee, the use and management of the Fund is carried out promptly, effectively and strictly, ensuring the correct principles, objects, contents, expenditure levels and support consideration procedures. Thereby contributing to ensuring social security, sustainable poverty reduction, improving people's lives, developing the socio-economy and consolidating the great national unity bloc.

From the above Fund, we have promptly supported the construction and repair of 75 houses of gratitude and solidarity for policy households, poor households and near-poor households; helped develop production, provide medical examination and treatment, and supported students of poor households to overcome difficulties in their studies; donated wheelchairs to wounded and sick soldiers; and given gifts on the occasion of Lunar New Year... with a support amount of nearly 4 billion VND.

The fund helps hundreds of policy households, poor households, and near-poor households escape poverty, stabilize their lives, and contribute to reducing the poverty rate in the city to 0.75% in 2022. To date, the city's "Repaying gratitude and social security" Fund has over 1 billion VND.

Launching the support for the Fund "Repaying gratitude and social security", the leaders of Ninh Binh city called on all cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, organizations, individuals, businesses and people of all walks of life to actively participate in contributing and supporting the Fund with the highest capacity, contributing with the Party Committee, government and people of the city to effectively implement the work of repaying gratitude and social security.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, city leaders and delegates directly supported the "Repaying gratitude, repaying kindness, and social security" Fund.

According to statistics, more than 70 companies, businesses, units, armed forces, and philanthropists have registered to support the Fund with a total amount of nearly 3 billion VND.

On this occasion, the Fund's Mobilization Committee presented gifts to 20 policy households and poor households in the city, encouraging the families to overcome difficulties and improve their lives.
